Stochastic Music

stəˈkæs.tɪk ˈmjuː·zɪk - Classical and dark ambient project from Rome, Italy, founded in 2014 by Gianni Pereta and Cristiano D'Avena. Initially influenced by Jannis Xenakis and Karl H Stockhausen, it mostly focuses on contemporary classical music, dark ambient and experimental techno, with a distinctive sound design inspired by statistical mechanics and other fundamental physics.

Gianni Pereta und Cristiano d'Avena sind die beiden Künstler hinter dem Projekt stəˈkæs.tɪk ˈmjuː•zɪk, welches sie 2014 in Rom gegründet haben um, inspiriert von Jannis Xenakis und Karl Heinz Stockhausen, kontemporäre klassische Musik mit dunklem Ambient und einem Hauch experimentellem Techno zu erschaffen. Ein weiteres 'Bandmitglied' ist, so abstrakt das auch klingt, stochastische Methoden, also Wahrscheinlichkeitsverteilungen etc, die in die Kompositionen mit einfließen und ihnen somit, im Gegensatz zur Präzision eines Drumcomputers, eine ständige Varianz, einen Hauch von mathematischer Lebendigkeit, einhauchen.
