Jimmy Watt Abarca

Sononaut and visual artist from Santiago de Chile with more than 20 years in arenas of creation.

His current sound-work is close to noise, industrial, sample-based and a more conceptual narration than in his beginnings. Between 2010 and 2014 he got into ambient doing many recordings which have never been published on the web yet.

His music is characterized by long treatments, extensive and progressive transitions due to the literary school he went to at his childhood (poetry and narrative published on fanzines and literary magazine at the age of twelve). His work in general is narrative and incidental.

Als nächste Veröffentlichung auf dem Spheredelic Netlabel, haben wir wieder einmal etwas elektronisches aus dem südamerikanischem Raum. 'From the dissection table to moderato' ist der Titel nicht nur des Albums, sondern auch des einzigen Tracks, der dafür immerhin 41 Minuten Spielzeit aufweist. Eingespielt wurde diese Musik von Jimmy Watt Abarca, ein 'Sononaut' und Visual Artist aus Santiago de Chile, der seine Finger schon seit über 20 Jahren an diversen Instrumenten und Synthesizern hatte. Wie es sich für einen echten Musiker gehört, hat er dabei von noise über Industrial zu Ambient und narrativem Songaufbau vieles ausprobiert.
